CHICHA NEW HP MINI 110 1050LA
WEBMASTER NOTE
a family these days is to mine bought a netbook, my suggestion chose one with 6-cell battery for their autonomy.
is a mini hp 110 1050 LA, a beautiful little machine, with everything you should have for their personal use.
comes with xp home, so I decided to install the professional version, look everywhere and in no case were the cd with drivers and operating system, its lack surprised me, because I've been at this for over 10 years I have a pcs business and repair of all kinds, all absolutely all I had or fix pcs bring physical support system, this does not bring it.
gave me to call HP tech support and referred me to surprise mexico (aa cost of the call my office) where I met a very polite young man who was kind enough to advise me to spread the warranty and send the happy cds system support.
which left me but not as happy as they should bring in the original box properly and not wait for the above charges.
luckily I made a backup of the drivers and I install xp pro, but I'm not surprised to detect a video driver (brings both) by chance work ...
things should include more people of hp ...
for those who want to upgrade to Windows XP because they 7 or XP Professional on this page are all the driver (I hope they serve): HP DRIVERS
NOTE THIS IS THE MOST COMPLETE THAT COULD FIND ON THE MINI 110
1050LA HP
A lack of major developments regarding to hardware manufacturers continue to refine the concept netbook, improving aspects such as display, keyboard or the exterior design. In this line are HP's latest proposal, following the success of the HP Mini 1000, offers a quality product inspired by the new HP Pavilion and it has some details that set it apart from the competition. Thoroughly tested the new netbook from HP.
At first glance the HP Mini 110 seems like a miniature version HP Pavilion one last batch, but obviously the quality of materials is in line with the price of equipment. The top cover sports a glossy finish with elegant circular motifs and construction is more robust than previous models at the expense of slightly increase the thickness and weight of equipment. The model we reviewed is black but there are white and pink versions of the same specification.
HP offers three finishes for the model.
The team inherited the excellent keyboard and tested in the HP Mini 700 and the firm has taken great care quality hinges, profiles, caps and buttons getting finished above average. His touch is still fantastic, the key size is reduced only 8% compared to a conventional keyboard and for the first time in a while we shift keys and cusores of acceptable size. Undoubtedly one of the highlights of the team and key factor in making purchasing decisions (a pity that the small trackpad is not the height).
The trim level is much higher than similar proposals in price.
If we take a look at the edge of the machine we found a VGA port, an Ethernet jack, three USB ports (which are usually only two) and a card reader into one five. The audio output and the outlet complete this section. To connect wirelessly to wireless networks will support WiFi, but Bluetooth not available even as an option.
The HP Mini 110 screen has a diagonal of 10.1 inches and offers a native resolution of 1,024 x 576 dots. While the practice should be sufficient for the purposes of the computer (web browsing, email, office, etc..) The need to use almost continuously scroll can overwhelm some readers used to screen many inches. In any case, HP provides the option of reaching the 1,366 x 760 points for 30 euros extra, something to recommend from the laboratory.
To improve the outdoor display panel, with direct light or irregular lighting manufacturer has opted for an anti-reflective coating to thank many users at the cost of losing a bit of sharpness in the image (almost imperceptible with this screen size). In the top frame will see a 0.3-megapixel webcam, sufficient for video conferencing.
The base configuration of the computer is traced to other netbooks that have passed through the laboratory: Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz, a gigabyte of RAM and a 160-gigabyte hard disk. The graphics card is an Intel GMA 950, solvent not too demanding tasks with the calculation of polygons (3D games and applications).
The yield on the synthetic tests is very similar to its competitors and after a few days do not appreciate everyday no major differences in using common applications. The computer plays in most cases for which it is designed and only processes like video encoding or image processing heavy hint at its limitations.
Our test unit had a six-cell battery, which adds more weight to the laptop but it offers an average of more than 4 hours of normal use. Playing multimedia maximum brightness than 3 hours easily. Although offered as an option is almost compulsory purchase given the poor performance offered by the three cells.
Although we tested the Windows XP machine with the brand also offers a version Ubuntu Personalized Mobile Internet Experience called HP specially designed for these computers. The computer includes a variety of software testing, antivirus and tools for restoration in case of problems. Conclusions
The HP Mini 110 offers everything that we require a netbook at a reasonable price. Quality construction, proper performance and comfortable keyboard are your proposals to get open in a saturated market of almost identical models.
If you are looking for a basic netbook as a second machine is a good choice, although, as with these machines is far from the services offered by any laptop price similar so we must be clear about our priorities when we decide. Taking
clear the limitations of their class get a perfect partner to browse, check email, listen to music or reviewing documents with a modest investment.

best
The keyboard is fantastic. Quality construction and finish. Careful design.
worst
Trackpad uncomfortable. 3-cell battery offers very little autonomy. No surprises in terms of hardware. In short
A netbook without weaknesses balanced and an excellent keyboard. The HP Mini 110 offers enough power for basic tasks, reasonable autonomy and quality finish of HP at a very interesting.
